Seattle, King County, Portland and Hawaii have all declared States of Emergencies due to the number of people who are homeless. Local communities and individual states can and should invest more resources to provide housing and services. The Federal Government must also act NOW to provide more housing for people who are trying to survive on our streets.
This event is being organized by Catholic Community Services of King County, with support from All Home, Plymouth Housing Group, Downtown Emergency Service Center, Compass Housing Alliance, Church Council of Greater Seattle, the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness, the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance, Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry, the United Way of King County, Faith Action Network, the Seattle Human Services Coalition, and others.
